Built in 1840, the Newbury Village Store offers a slice of history, service and quality Vermont-made products. Situated along the spectacular Connecticut River Valley and across from one of the largest and prettiest town commons in Vermont. Newbury is a quintessential Vermont town where the surrounding homes and buildings are untouched by time. Take a seat on the front porch and watch the world flow past while enjoying a treat from the best deli in the valley — it really is the best seat in town. Or visit in our new Thistle Café and take in the view of the mountains and valley while enjoying great food, local beers on tap and wines from around the world.
Owners Dave and Eileen McKnelly purchased the store 2010 after leaving corporate America. They first moved to the New Hampshire Seacoast area with their three children before relocating to Newbury — and they love it here! Since then they have added lots of new items to the store, added a café, and brought their passion for great food, great customer service, and great fun.
