When it comes to tattoo aftercare, everyone has their own opinion and suggestions. It's almost like a beauty regimen. There are basic guidelines to follow and then there are all the different products and guidelines that can vary from person to person.
For some reason, I'm always excited to see a new follow-up to tattoos, but so far I'm sticking with the same routine. After Inked is effective in moisturizing and naturally helps new tattoos look healthier. WHY I LIKE:
Cruelty-free and vegan: Too bad, I'm not vegan, nor are all the products I use cruel. But I like to switch to cruelty when I can, and I love finding reliable products.
The packaging is great: simple, but the design appeals to me. I'm not sure the Buddha's head is appropriate and I know Buddhists find the use of the head offensive, but overall it's a beautiful design and initially attracted me.
It's also a moisturizer: once your tattoo has healed, you can continue to apply lotion to keep it hydrated. So you don't have to throw away a lot of product when it's 6 months old.
Enriched with grapeseed oil: This is supposed to help the skin heal faster. I've seen faster healing times, but that's a little longer than a week according to Amazon.
Dermatologist tested: What's more, this product is non-irritating, non-allergenic, paragon-free, fragrance-free, gluten-free, and non-petroleum based.
